I continue to be inspired by the Buddhist monks on their extended “Walk for Peace” from Texas to Washington DC. They emphasize using the phrase: “Today will be my peaceful day”
I also gain much inspiration reading community ideas on the Community Walk for Peace Facebook group
So… here are some of my ideas for ways I’m exploring, experimenting with and using the monks’ ideas for nuturing and developing a more steadily peaceful mind … here’s hoping!
I’ll post these ideas in case some of them might be helpful for anyone else to reflect upon and possibly use, too?

Each day the head monk emphasizes and encourages people
to write down and repeat this “mantra-phrase”
each morning and throughout each day
“Today will be my peaceful day”
I added
“Today I will nurture a peaceful mind”
I decided to explore and experiment with their suggestion of writing down that mantra each morning.
To support myself in actually writing that phrase more “appealing” for me, I created a page for writing those phrases upon each morning.
I then added some additional supportive words to help myself in living positive, peaceful “ways” throughout each day

The “Walk for Peace” monks recommended writing the phrase “Today will be my peaceful day” 10 times each morning and then reading those phrases aloud. I’m curious about the potential effectiveness of that suggestion, so I’m experimenting with giving it a try.

explaining rational for living with a peaceful mind
and potential benefits of writing down the phrase
“Today is going to be our peaceful day”

As I’ve been repeating that phrase and writing it down throughout the past few days, I’ve been so surprised … actually “amazed!” … as I remember other “pages” and “ideas” that I’ve explored throughout the past many years.
I have been heartfully appreciating, learning, studying and practicing Buddhist teachings and concepts for the past 16 years and the ideas sometimes come together magically!
What a surprise to realize how related and supportive the ideas on many of the previous “pages” and “posts” are to the idea of “Today will be my peaceful day”
“How Wonderful It Might Be” …if we could _______
Notice…the beauties of … “The Three Jewels”
How wonderful it might be
if I can have and come back to having a “peaceful mind”

What if…? ….
this is a good idea to use that phrase throughout each day?
What if that can become a steady, habitual state of heart/mind/ spirit?
“Today will be my peaceful day”
Making a “cheerful choice” …
to experiment by trying out writing and saying this phrase

Acting and living… “As if…”
“As if…”
writing and saying this phrase might lead to more steadily peaceful mind
“As if ….
“this might actually be a good idea and start doing it!

Revising a page from a previous post
“I CAN continue to do this .. . even though it’s still difficult… as least I can try”
I can continue to come back to living with a peaceful mind
Even if …. even though … even when …
I meet “complications” and react,
I can repeatedly come back to “connecting with” and “having” a peaceful mind
Again …and … again … and again
