Adrian’s First Ferris Wheel Ride

Adrian hesitated joining his mom on the Ferris wheel. The fear tightening in his chest he felt that his superman’s underpants had lost its magic.
“Mom, I’m scared,” he muttered staring at the swaying metal car.
“Come on, sweetie,” she reassured him. “I’ll be right here with you.”
Adrian took a deep breath and sat down. As the wheel turned, the ride offered spectacular views all over. Slowly, fear morphed into something wonderful.
By the end, Adrian was ecstatic. It was an experience he’d remember for a long, long time. He also made superman proud by not wetting his underpants.

Ella was his first love. They were sophomores at a Catholic school beside the church. Above the nave was a choir loft that became their hidden rendezvous. It was there Tommy stole his first kiss from Ella.
During school breaks they slipped away until the parish priest discovered their secret. It was a scandal that became the talk of the town.
Unsurprisingly, both were expelled. Looking back, Tommy felt no regret for being caught. Fate had a playful sense of humor. Years later, they returned, older and wiser, to marry in the same church where their love story had begun.
