Sunday’s Expected Weather

We just wanted to give you a head’s up concerning activities at Church this coming Sunday with unpleasant conditions possible:

There will be services, but NO fellowship supper. The uncertainty of the weather with maybe, maybe not, people won’t have the certainty needed for fixing food.

~~If we have snow or ice on Sunday the Evening Fellowship meal will be cancelled. Services will be held for those who can safely attend and who wish to do so.~~

Stay safe, pray for good weather, and if you are snowed in, let the Pastor know if you’d like the morning sermon via email.

Call to Prayer for January 17th, 2026

Good evening friends, brothers and sisters far and near. Tonight please pray for the services and Sunday school classes tomorrow.

I’d like to ask you to pray for the folk around you who are carrying incredible burdens that no one knows about. God knows who they are and what they need, so please ask him to help them.

Remember Amy H., BJ, Greg D., Destiney B., and the other members of your church family.

Call to Prayer for January 10, 2026

Be in prayer for the services tomorrow, for those who attend, and those who, because of sickness, are unable to.

Remember our director of mission’s son Matthew. He is very ill. Also remember the elderly, shut in, and nursing home residents. Loneliness is not a good thing, as God himself declares when he created Eve.

Take some time to remember those who are, due to spiritual unwellness, uninterested in worship. Christians disinterested in spending time in worship have a very serious spiritual problem. Do pray for them.

Finally pray that the God of peace send peace to this troubled world.

Faith that’s Really Faith

Christians are called to live lives akin to those described in Hebrews 11 so that, hopefully, when you die, someone at your funeral remarks ‘this was one of those people of whom the world was not worthy’.

Now is the time for authentic faith.

And what more should I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched raging fire, escaped the edge of the sword, won strength out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Women received their dead by resurrection. Others were tortured, refusing to accept release, in order to obtain a better resurrection. Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned to death, they were sawn in two, they were killed by the sword; they went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, persecuted, tormented— of whom the world was not worthy.

What a legacy.
