It's not all glamour and glitz you know…
About…
Finally, the house lights dim, the background music fades, the crowd roars, the intro music starts… the band takes the stage and the magic begins…
I am lucky enough for this to be my job, sometimes in the wings readying the next guitar, watching for problems; other times on stage as part of the band.
I called this blog “The View From My Office” as I intend it to be just that – a personal account of events. What I won’t be doing is reviewing shows – I’ll leave that to others who actually saw (and heard) them from audience. But a lot goes on to make the magic happen and I hope I can provide a glimpse of that.
Interesting? Maybe… Entertaining? Possibly… Magical? If it all comes together on the day and with a little luck, hopefully!

Oh to be part of the magic. I’m someone who, I like to believe, if I’d have made different choices when I was younger, that may have been my life too. I love music, I love playing keyboards, but I’m now too far embedded in the rat race to be able to step out of it and into a career in music that I’d love. Also too caught up in married life to be able to get any real time with my keyboard too, which breaks my heart. I’m going to link you from my blog, in the hope that reading your blog will give me back some of what I’ve missed over the years.
