Presenter : Hewie Poplock , Sarasota Technology Users Group
Topic : What You Need to Know About SD Cards
When it comes to SD cards you may have a few questions like:
Why are there different sizes or what do all the U’s, C’s and V’s with different numbers mean? Also, can’t I just go on eBay and get the cheapest no-name card and call it a day?
These and many other questions will be answered with this presentation.
SD cards are flash memory cards used in portable devices such as digital cameras, smartphones, and tablets. SD cards come in a variety of sizes, speeds, and capacities. When purchasing, key factors to consider are capacity, speed ratings, durability, UHS bus configuration compatibility with your device, and symbols like v30/v60/v90 that indicate minimum write speeds. Choosing the right SD card depends on your specific storage needs in terms of capacity, speed, and durability. Hewie will explain what to look for when buying that memory card.
