Comment on There Is No Such Thing as Unconditional Love by Anonymous

Thu, 13 Feb 2025 01:53:26 +0000https://patientanonymous.wordpress.com/?p=4446#comment-32254Sorry but I have an addition. My girlfriend of 20 years who has often been difficult to deal with over these years just broke up with me because her anger makes her see life as being right or wrong rather than as disagreements. I love the understanding side of her and always will. This came to me: Love (unconditional) is blind to bias while bias is blind to love. Both determine how beings like us feel. Just as situations and experiences can be limitless in their seemingly positive and negative sense and relative variations so too can love be limitless in it’s embrace and all encompassing inclusiveness. Fantasy? If I turn toward it I can feel it even now. A quote from Loretta Young the actress: “You don’t find love. Love finds you”. I say don’t sell love short and see it as limited I see it as waiting for us and if we open it finds us. Something like that. What the hell.

Mon, 10 Feb 2025 18:36:21 +0000https://patientanonymous.wordpress.com/?p=4446#comment-32253I read some of the other comments. Not all. I don’t mean to argue but my interpretation or the posted words from the Bible to my mind indicate that love is unconditional. I don’t know how else love can be selfless or not proud and everything else it says. To me selfless and unconditional are synonymous. Maybe somehow they are not but for now they seem to be synonymous to me. Maybe my logic is making some assumptions I’m not aware of.

Mon, 10 Feb 2025 18:14:21 +0000https://patientanonymous.wordpress.com/?p=4446#comment-32252I am aware some of my sentences may be too wordy but mainly I wish I had not started the one sentence with “In language”. I think my train of thought was going to say something about the limitations of language/logic but anyway I stand by what is true to me that the presence of being is selfless. It’s here no matter what words or concepts or logic are applied or are able to appear in or as any context. Presence of or as being now is. Known or not. “Own” or not.

Mon, 10 Feb 2025 17:40:03 +0000https://patientanonymous.wordpress.com/?p=4446#comment-32251In my above comment I misspelled or as of but another way of recognizing unconditional love is to compare pride and being humble. I see pride as it is placed as the primary deadly sin of the seven. The sin of feeling like an “own” single separate being and valuing one’s “own” self first instead of being aware of the selfless being of the total functioning of timeless presence itself. Call it God or Brahman or reality or now or whatever. I saw a quote by Loretta Young in a list of 200 Unconditional Love Quotes. “You don’t find love. Love finds you”. But for this to be true the self as “own” must be done with. Then/now bliss of subject and object as being not different or nondual shines like sun and space. Yes I study and contemplate Nonduality until it is self evident. In language the presence of being itself is selfless which kind of explains how the appearance of relativity and time is possible. 1. Appearance and experience appears within 2. timeless spaceless formless presence here now. Not the other way around. Both as presence. There is no other than being presence but mind and body spontaneously appear and deal in and with and as “otherness” and the realm of this and that but all now. Presence/awareness itself as humble strength does not depend on being done or not done or on anything. Not even on any concept of form or identity or motion. Can’t be pinned down mentally or physically. Whereas all relativity and experience is relational and dependent/conditional and comes and goes no other than now. Both and all now as one presence without number. Both limitless. I can see (be aware as invisible unseen seer) relativity as limitless limits and Being Itself as just limitless. These mental exercises seem to help me with my conviction, not with what I know, but what I am. To be done with what I seem to know. I might be better off doing mantra rather than these exercises of knowing I don’t know but I do both and I’m just finishing up this amazing book: Silence of the Heart, John Adams that is a free PDF. Within the first 1/4 of the book he suggests that the very first thing you do upon waking up after being asleep is to mantra “I,I,,,,,,I,I, However long or fast. I think it’s being able to do it before any thoughts take hold that counts or helps but sometimes like he says I feel great at some point during the day. It seems to connect me with the “I am” the masters of nonduality refer to.

Mon, 10 Feb 2025 16:03:31 +0000https://patientanonymous.wordpress.com/?p=4446#comment-32250I feel sorry for those that are not aware of unconditional love. To me conditional love is not real love. I don’t know why of how but I just see past everyone’s faults. Seeking to know and experience ideal conditions is what the body and mind are limited to doing but we wouldn’t do at all if we are not coming from a space that is good just being. Doing good comes from being good. How easy it is for the body and mind to lose awareness that being itself being ourself is good.

Hi Becs. Sorry I never replied to you. I was too busy thinking of taking the Blog down.
Thank you so much for your compliments about me and my words here. That means so much.
Hopefully you’ll get this Comment back and see that all the years here aren’t disappearing. And, I’m just starting to come back.

Hi Carol Anne. I’m answering your Comments backwards. I love this one, but Sofi Tukker in the next Post?
When I first heard that one, I was stunned. Then I had to find the video. Oh, yeah.
After and quite satisfied, I said, “We need more of this stuff in the world.”
