Our life with multiples

I finally decided it was time for the girls to get their hair cut.  It was getting unmanageable, and I honestly couldn’t stand dealing with the tangles anymore.  Abby hates anything in her hair.  From barrettes to hair ties, she always gave me trouble.  Alex likes her hair in a braid, so I kept it longer for her, but we chopped quite a bit off of Abbys. 🙂

They both did really well.  Abby was a little nervous about the scissors, and cried a bit when it was her turn, but we distracted her with suckers!  Our hair dresser is amazing, and both of them looked so cute when they were done! 😀

A couple weeks ago we had yet another fun event to attend at the girls school.  I can’t say it enough how much I enjoy these kinds of things.  🙂  Nana and Papa came with us, and we got pizza for dinner, then there was a little craft area outside where we ate so the kids could go around and do a bunch of neat things.  From ring tossing to bracelet making, we had a blast!!  When it was time for Santa to come out, we all gathered around the stage and sang Christmas songs.  Abby was super close to melting down, and so I waved down the teacher and asked her if we could sneak up on stage first to see Santa.  There were so many kids there and I was afraid we wouldn’t make it til the end…..and so she did. 🙂  We went right up, and after the telling me the ENTIRE day they were going to sit with Santa and let him  know what they wanted for Christmas, who was the one who sat on his lap?  Yes-it was Mommy.

A couple of weeks ago I got to spend some time with the girls in class and help them start the process of making Gingerbread men.  I had volunteered at the beginning of the year for pretty much anything the teachers needed.  It was a lot of fun to watch the girls in class!  Then a few days later when I picked them up, they had the Gingerbread men in bags….I had no idea what they looked like, but wow……it almost made me cry!

We got these as gifts from them. On the back it says *Here is an ornament for the tree, remember me when I was 3. 😀 yes, I almost cried! They are hanging on the tree, on either side of me and hubby’s first ornament we ever got as a couple. Our first Christmas, 2001. Life has changed so much since then, but all of our dreams to have a family came true. I’m such a lucky lady.  🙂

We got lucky enough to have another fall where we were outside at night past the time change.  It was hard to bring them in so early when it was still nice out!  We spent a lot of time outside this fall, and loved every second.  Raking leaves, going for walks, and just being outside in general.  I wanted to post some pictures that never made it in here……
