Key stakeholders from industry and open source communities are collaborating to support compliance with government regulations, ensuring the continued use and advancement of open source through the software supply chain.
Leading Regulatory Compliance for Open Source
New government regulations on the software industry will significantly impact open source communities. To guide and support compliance within these communities, the Open Regulatory Compliance Working Group (ORC WG) brings together key stakeholders from industry, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), research institutions, open source foundations, maintainers and contributors. This collaborative effort will work with governmental bodies to enable the industry to meet regulatory requirements while continuing to leverage open source through the software supply chain. Additionally, this initiative will empower open source projects to better address the industry's needs in this evolving landscape.
