Today, the Victorian Government took a historic step toward protecting the rights of children with innate variations of sex characteristics, introducing legislation that will prevent unnecessary medical interventions without the individual’s free and informed consent.

Join us at University of Sydney or online from 11am to 1pm AEDT on Thursday 26 February for a very special event with Dr Lih-Mei Liao. Lih-Mei is one of the world's top experts on psychosocial issues and mental health of people with innate variations of sex characteristics (also termed intersex variations or differences of sex development). The event will also feature responses from Velissa Aplin and Bonnie Hart, and be chaired by Associate Professor Morgan Carpenter.

From Friday 14 to Sunday 16 November, Intersex Peer Support Australia (IPSA) hosted the InterSpace Retreat at King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre, nestled in the spectacular Pennyroyal Valley of the Otway Ranges near the Great Ocean Road and Lorne. Surrounded by nature, the retreat offered a nurturing environment for reflection, connection, and celebration.
