I've been a long time fan of Obfusc and I'm loving this release. Think of this as a collaboration of the Edge, Phillip Glass, and Boards of Canada. You just need it. Enjoy!

Absolute masterpiece of an album. The field recordings and warm synths bring out the coziest vibes.

"There's something of a double meaning in the title 'Wasted Utopia.' On the one hand, it evokes the utter hopelessness of the now, the squandering of our planetary resources, terrifying political situations at home and abroad, the mundane-but-crushing weight of personal struggles with depression and anxiety. On the other, it captures the way many of us cope, a self-medicated state increasingly necessary to face a dire reality without losing one's bearings. The music also speaks to these notions, conjuring imagery of deserted parking lots and scorched earth while simultaneously working as a salve in the face of such horrors." – Dustin Krcatovich (Ypsilanti, Michigan)

Fez is one of my favorite games of all time. It's unlike any other game I've ever played. To complement this, Fez also has one of my favorite game soundtracks, which is also unlike any other I've listened to. Many of the tracks in Fez have completely different moods, yet they all complement each other and the game so well. Everything comes together as a coherent whole, and each track perfectly encapsulates the feel of the area it plays in. victor0725
Delicate, beautiful songs from Italy’s Ruslan Perezhilo with gauzy, mysterious synths and melodies that are soothing and hypnotic. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 2, 2020
