Farmer Will was here Sunday night plowing our driveway. We had a wee bit more snow during the night and mom wanted to clean it up and head to the grocery store. That's the driveway in front of my mountain of snow.

Mom told me that as soon as it stops, we will head out.
It was a wet snow and perfect for making snowmen but that's not what I had in mind.

Mom asked the intermutts if spraying doggie conditioner on my legs would help with heavy snowballs not sticking. They said yes. They lied!

We are not finding anything worthy of picture taking. The prettiest pictures are the ones with snow and the weatherPeeps assure me that it will fall this weekend - not much but an inch is better than none at all. The ice cold winds and freezing temp have already arrived!
Missy's Amaryllis bulb all of a sudden shot up. Mom is experimenting with the African Violets. If they don't get buds on them before the next bulb of the month pot shows up, they are history because mom needs that spot that they are occupying. 
What - is my lip stuck?
Mom let me wear a harness one day this week and the next day it was back to my head collar <sigh>

She used ground turkey instead of beef and she only had a pound so she adjusted the rest of the ingredients accordingly.
The aroma coming from the kitchen was making both me and mom nutty! It smelled sooooooooo good!
Mom is not a fan of hot meatloaf so she let it cool quite a bit before she cut into it and tasted it. 
Have any of you ever had a "sweet" meatloaf before? It was very filling and a soft texture and mom wasn't crazy about it. It spent the night in the frig and the next day, she ate it again.
The weatherPeeps are saying that snow may be back closer to the end of the week. My paws are crossed!
Yesterday was such a beautiful day here. The sun was out and the temps were mild for January~
We still have snow but with rain on the way, it probably won't last.
Our Christmas Cactus is in bloom~
The Amaryllis bud really sprouted up quickly and mom is anxious to see the beautiful flower. I'm in the picture too. Can you see me?
We finally got a picture of the rooster and his chicken companions who we hear at all hours of the morning!
Mom took this picture a few walks ago. We love the red berries in the snow~

She added chopped celery too. She adds celery to everything. I love it and she loves it! Sorry that the photo is blurry - yup, I love celery!
She can't remember if I've had cabbage or not so........ Yup, I love cabbage too!

Mom loved this recipe and will be making it again. She didn't use onion but she did use half a shallot and Mrs Dash's seasonings for the garlic and onion. 
She says it's a keeper for sure!

Nature Friday

Tasty Tuesday
As far as mom knows, she has never been to a Cracker Barrel restaurant before but people who go, love their food so when she discovered this recipe on FB, she decided to give it a try.
Cheese for me, please!
Honestly, she didn't like it any better than before. It was still sweet and still soft. Mom grew up never wasting food as it was a rule in her household - if you didn't eat your dinner, you didn't get dessert and you went to bed hungry.
The next day, she spread Poupon mustard on it and it was better and palatable.
Let's just say that she won't be making this recipe ever again. The worst part is that this meatloaf had a bit of shallot in it and I didn't even get to taste it!
