IF - Resolutions

One of my New Years resolutions was to finish some art that I am working on for an art competition in Florida. The theme is Embracing Diversity. I painted a lot of people and I am making a cool picture with them using photoshop. When I was playing with filters, I made these cool chalk people.

IF - Dessert

This is a Yummy Monster Cheesecake. Yummy Monsters are some characters I have created to paint and they are also on t-shirts at my new website www.nicadoodle.com

I did two drawings for Dessert because I like to draw desserts!

I am working on this polar bear for a t-shirt designing contest. Me and my brothers have been playing on Ben and Jerry.com so I thought it would be funny on some ice cream since that is my favorite dessert.

Sputnik - Satellite

A satellite is a robot that orbits around planets for data and photos. Satellites are use for things like comcast dish network and to predicted the weather. On October 4, 1957 the Soviet Union launched the very first satellite to orbit around the earth, but it burned in the atmosphere and the space junk from the soviet sputnik crash back down to earth in Wisconsin. Space junk is just parts of broken satellites.

World Science Festival - All Creatures Great and Smart

I watched a show called "All Creatures Great and Smart", and my favorite part was about the monkeys. The Bonobos are a species of chimpanzees. They share 98.7% of our DNA, and they have pink lips just like people. Bonobo males are nicer to the Bonobo females than chimpanzee males are to chimpanzee females. The females are the ones in charge. Another type of monkey has an alarm call. They have three types of alarm calls one if there is a leopard, another if there is a eagle and they have one just to leave that area. There was another type of monkey that had different calls one for bread and one for an apple. I didn't know that bonobos and humans had so much in common. I wonder if scientist can train them to talk in English.

Saturday we went to the Macon Museum of Arts and Sciences. As soon as we came in we saw a macaw named Georgia, and she said hi and she said bird day. Then we went to the insect petting zoo. I picked up a Bess beetle and a tarantula. My brother Tony picked up a Madagascar hissing cockroach and a tarantula too. After that we went to go eat some bugs such as: fried Mexican caterpillars, chocolate covered crickets, chocolate chirp cookies, chex mix with crickets and cricket and millworm lollipops. We went to another bug stand and we saw a giant millipede, a baby praying mantis and a locus.Then we went to the mini zoo where we saw monkeys, crocodiles, snakes and lizards. then we went to go see a planetarium show, and I learned that our galaxy can move 210,000 miles per our. later we went to go see the giant mechanical insects. next we went down stairs and dug for fossil molds, then me and my dad played checkers it was really fun. Then we went home and had a cook out.
