Nemesis

A contradicting world lays before us,

Where one can make a very feeble impression,

And get confused on whether to be happy or sad,

And be tormented by a heartening depression.

A world where before the storm rises,

There exists a cloud of deafening silence,

Where people wear so many shades of perspectives,

That in the name of peace, they resort to violence.

A world of so many noises,

That we forget our heart’s silent scream,

Lost in the confusion of so many things,

Not knowing whose importance is the least and which is supreme.

A world where when you try to amuse,

All you  get is an angry  smile,

All those people whom you thought to be undeceiving,

Just turned out to be so beguile.

A world where a  momentary slip-up,

For eradication from people’s minds, takes an “eternal moment”,

A fumble’s all the difference,

Between a friend and a friendly opponent.

A world where  people burn with jealousy’s fire,

Yet display the coldness in its supreme ire,

Same people appear cheap and expendable now,

Who sometime back as precious as sapphire.

A world where there’s always the silence,

Before the drum rolls of anger’s thunder,

Its aim is so accurate,

But, mostly targeted wrongly, becomes a irrecoverable blunder.

A world so full of colours,

Yet we search for shades of darkness and black,

Where love and kindness are superfluous,

But, in our own perspective it  seems to lack.
