Lipstick Linked To Breast Cancer
A study has shown that a chemical found in lipstick and nail varnish could trigger breast cancer. Butyl benzyl phthalate, or BBP, is the chemical which makes products look glossy. BBP is a mad-made substance which mimic the female sex hormone estrogen, and it can interfere with the development of breast tissue. Past studies have also linked this chemical to birth defects, kidney problems and infertility, and have been banned in teething rings and babies' dummies across Europe.
Baby rats who were exposed to levels of chemical reported to have altered genetic make-up of cells in the rat's mammary glands. Humans who get exposed to this chemical even at a young age can alter their glands and have a long-term effect.
What shall we do about it? We use numerous cosmetics on our skin each day - from shower gel, to hair spray and moisturizer. I would say, always read the labels before purchasing a product, and try to stick to natural products!

11 Things You Did Not Learn In School
Life is not fair - get used to it.
RULE 2
The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world
will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel
good about yourself.
RULE 3
You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out
of high school. You won't be a vice president with
car phone, until you earn both.
RULE 4
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a
boss. He doesn't have tenure.
RULE 5
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your
grandparents had a different word for burger flipping.
They
called it Opportunity.
RULE 6
If you mess up,it's not your parents' fault, so don't
whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
RULE 7
Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as
they are now. They got that way from paying your bills,
cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about
how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest
from the parasites of your parent's generation, try
delousing the closet in your own room.
RULE 8
Your school may have done away with winners and losers,
but life has not. In some schools they have abolished
failing grades and they'll give you as many times as
you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the
slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
RULE 9
Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get
summers off and very few employers are interested in
helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.
RULE 10
Television is NOT real life. In real life people
actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
RULE 11
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for
one.

Tips for Fuel-Efficient Driving
Aside from spending more money on fuel, being fuel-efficient decreases greenhouse gas emissions that harm the environment. Follow these tips to reduce your cars environmental impact:
* Ensure your car is tuned and serviced regularly. Old cars tend to pollute more, therefore, make sure your car is tuned according to the manufacturer's recommendation.
* Reduce your speed. Driving more slowly reduces fuel consumption. Travelling at 110kph uses up to 25% more fuel than cruising at 90 kph. 60kph is the most efficient when driving in the city.
* Travel lightly. Unnecessary weight will make your car consume more fuel and increase emissions.
* Make sure your tires are inflated to the right pressure. Softer tires can cause higher fuel consumption, and excess air can make the car too bouncy and cause wheel explosion.
* Filling up past the first click of the fuel nozzle means that fuel can be lost through the overflow pipe when you accelerate or go around corners.
* Use of airconditioning can increase fuel consumption by 10%, so only use aircon/heater when necessary.
* Avoid peak-hour. If traffic is stagnant, switch off the engine. Idling causes unnecessary fuel consumption.
* Car-pool or use public transport. This saves you money and at the same time saving the environment.
* Ride a motorbike or scooter. They generally spend less fuel. Keep an eye for new technology, like electric scooters that are currently in the market.

Entrecard Burned Down?!
I was wondering why I wasn't able to click on Entrecards anymore. Until I found out, there has been an electrical fire at the data center housing Entrecard's servers. This is very unfortunate, because this is about the same time I have advertised my Entrecard in many blog pages. Oh well.. Hopefully there will be some sort of reimbursement for the lost time. It just makes me wonder if they even had a backup?
Anyways, to those of you that have time, please click on the image below and vote for my blog! "In My Crazy Beautiful World". It is currently at number 4 =)

Which Male Physique Do You Prefer?
I just want to run a poll to see what type of physique women really look for in a man. This is not only for the women, but also for the man to know what most girls want! =)

What Does Your Hair Say About You?
Short Hair : is often interpreted as signifying intelligence, openness and honesty - what you see is what you get. Short hairstyles also tends to make younger women appear more mature and sophisticated.
Shoulder Length : usually perceived as classy and strong. People often view this hairstyle as someone who exemplifies both brains and beauty.
Long : If long hair is kept well, it suggests confidence and sensuality. But unkempt hair can show a different message. It can suggest the person is trying to cover up the parts of her body or face she considers flawed.
Curly vs. Straight : Waves show playfulness, warmth and carefree nature, while wearing your hair together straight tells people that you are together, polished and stylish.Ponytail : A neat ponytail shows poise, and is a good style when meeting your boss or your boyfriend's parents. A ponytail worn slightly higher shows a more casual, energetic style.

Make Up: To Look Fresh
Fresh Face: Blend a little bronzing gel everywhere the sun would naturally hit: the forehead, cheeks, and bridge of the nose, then swirl a tawny brush on your cheeks. To keep your eyes light, blend a creamy white shadow over your lids and finish up with mascara and lip balm.
Night Drama: Define the inner rims of your lashed with a black liner; then blend a purple-tinged gray over the lids. Put black shadow blended at the outer corners and a hint of rosy blush. Add a little bronzer along the cheekbones. Skip liner and lipstick in favor of a simple pinky nude gloss.
Sporty Flash: Bronze eyeshadows with cool undertones are stunning on women with darker, warm complexions. The color stands out, but the effect is very natural. Top your cheeks with deep rose cream blush with a bright apricot powder; this combination is subtle on brown skin and won't draw attention away from your eyes. All your lips need is a coat of sheer coca gloss.
Glamour Eyes: Women with darker skin can carry strong colors on eyes and lips. Vibrant blue eye shadows are striking against a rich skin tone, so trace your upper lashline with a cobalt pencil, and then blend a shimmery aqua shadow over your lids. Highlight your cheekbones with a copperty bronzer, and top that with a rich berry powder on the apples of your cheeks. A sheer red gloss will emphasize your mouth.

Never Drive In The Rain With Your Cruise Control On
A 36-year-old female had an accident several weeks ago and totalled her car. Her car suddenly began to hydroplane and literally flew through the air. When she explained to the policeman what had happened, he told her something that every driver should know - NEVER DRIVE IN THE RAIN WITH YOUR CRUISE CONTROL ON.
She thought she was being cautious by setting the cruise control and maintaining a safe consistent speed in the rain, but the policeman told her that if the cruise control is on and your car begins to hydroplane -- when your tyres lose contact with the pavement, your car will accelerate to a higher rate of speed and you take off like and airplane.
This blog is to inform everyone- family, friends, that they should never use the cruise control when the pavement is wet or icy. Cruise control should be only used when they road is dry.

Tips On Filling Your Vehicles With Fuel
ONLY BUY OR FILL UP YOUR CAR OR BIKKIE IN THE EARLY MORNING WHEN THE GROUND TEMPERATURE IS STILL COLD. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground, the denser the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening.... your litre is not exactly a litre.
In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products play an important role. A 1degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
WHEN YOU'RE FILLING UP, DO NOT SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER OF THE NOZZLE TO A FAST MODE. If you look, you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode, you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that are created, while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour. Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.
ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS IS TO FILL UP WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL. The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank, the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.
Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated, so that every litre is actually the exact amount.
ANOTHER REMINDER, IF THERE IS A FUEL TRUCK PUMPING INTO THE STORAGE TANKS, WHEN YOU STOP TO BUY, DO NOT FILL UP - most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.
Hope, this will help you get the maximum value for your money.

Ironman: A Must Watch
If you haven't watched Ironman yet, I suggest you watch it. I didn't expect much of it, but in my opinion, it turned out to be pretty good. I didn't see much story errors, I mean at least they explained how he became Ironman.. unlike Jumper, where a kid falls in the river and wakes up in a library.. No practical reason really. But yeah, Ironman is a hit! Wouldn't mind watching it again, its worth every penny.

Heart Attacks and Drinking Warm Water
The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.
For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
Common Symptoms Of Heart Attack...
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting . Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line .
You m ay never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.
