I am a grateful settler on unsurrendered Coast Salish land; specifically, the Lkwungen peoples’ territories, known as the Esquimalt and Songhees nations. Being a trespasser informs my responsibilities, including treading lightly on these lands and weaving anti-racist and anti-colonial practices into my pedagogy.
