Life After 40: Spicy, Unapologetic, and Way More Fun Than Anyone Warned Us.
Middle age isn’t a crisis—it’s a comedy special, and you’re the star. Your hair might have new highlights (or just gray streaks you refuse to admit are there), your metabolism is slow motion, and your knees are in a permanent negotiation with gravity—but who cares? Laugh. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Laugh until you cry wine.
The reality: nothing bonds humans like shared absurdity. Life after 40 is chaotic, messy, and gloriously funny—and your friends are the front-row audience, sharing in the applause and occasional spit-takes.
Wine,snacks and therapy:-
Forget therapy sessions that cost hundreds of dollars. True friendship after 40 is sitting on the couch, eating chips, sipping wine, and dissecting your life choices with brutal humor.
Friendship after 40 is louder, smaller, deeper, and far more forgiving.
We love deeply. We laugh recklessly ,and if one of us calls at 2 a.m.? We’re already putting on real pants.Because this isn’t about showing up perfectly. It’s about showing up as we are.

This is great. Proud of you.
Love this
Thanks allot for reading it.
All this and potato chips
So true, laughing at yourself and accepting the fact that you are not perfect and neither are your friends. Letting go of that frustration by laughing with friends or even by yourself. My favorite is when your in bed drifting off to sleep and you start to giggle, that giggle is like starting an old Dodge pickup. Starting in bursts of air through the nostrils, with a smile, one giggle, two giggles, until it’s a full blown belly laugh. Children or significant other ask, “what’s so funny?” “Nothing” you say, a couple of more burst as you turn over and have a good night’s sleep. The best you have ever in fact.
Thank you for your post and improving my day.
Absolutely! life can be tough, but we can get through it, with a bit of humor. Thanks for reading it.
That’s what i call self love. It’s very important to deeply love ourselves then we can share selflessly. Thanks for the reminder to me.
Absolutely, Thanks allot.Glad you enjoyed reading my post.
Love this; however at 51 it feels like I’m just getting started!! I still get better every damn day and I’ve got the confidence to back what I say!! All these scars draw an ugly map that should’ve killed me🤣, however I’m still standing and winning!! I’m definitely a survivor; I put the work in and it gives me the chills writing this & yes I laugh every damn day at the foolish things I still and do. I’m a good time, I’m a good friend and I’m excited for the next chapter!!
Love Dallas
Thanks, Dallas. You made me smile; life certainly has a sarcastic side! It’s important to find humor in our own experiences as we navigate through it. I appreciate you taking the time to read my post.
