Na Min An
Ph.D. Student at KAIST AI
Creative. Dilligent. Motivated. Open-Minded. Resourceful.
These are the attributes that I strive to embody as an AI researcher. I believe that AI can meaningfully assist humans in complex tasks, such as simulating visual prosthetic devices for people with visually impairments. This vision shaped my first research experience at Im Lab as an research intern under the guidance of Prof. Maesoon Im.
Since March 2023, I have been a full-time graduate student at XFact Lab and CVML Lab, co-adviced by Dr. James Thorne and Prof. Hyunjung Shim. From March to May 2025, I was a visiting researcher at CopeNLU, collaborating with Prof. Isabelle Augenstein and Dr. Yoonna Jang.
My current research interest focuses on developing assistive, trustworthy AI and ML systems, with particular emphasis on mitigating modality and social biases in multimodal and generative models. Please feel free to contact me at naminan@kaist.ac.kr!
