Palsun Korean Chinese Restaurant
March 27, 2011 by yeojachingu
I am neither a self-proclaimed foodie nor do I have a background on anything culinary-related but I must say that one of my favorite pastimes with the boyfriend is eating out. Honestly, prior to meeting him, I didn’t really have a knack for Korean food. I’ve always had this impression that they’re either just bland or just spicy. No in-betweens. No gays.
But he has since introduced me to the wonderful world of Korean cuisine (but my mom’s Filipino dishes are still more amazing IMO) and because we really eat out A LOT and Jimmy has literally been to almost every single Korean restaurant in the metro, I thought, it might be a fun idea to review the restaurants that we have tried! Maybe other Pinoys or tourists would want to know more about those as well…
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post and everything is based on OUR opinion and personal tastes.
And the lucky resto that we have chosen for our debut review is… PALSUN KOREAN CHINESE RESTURANT. Yup, you’re not alone. I didn’t know there’s such a thing as Korean-Chinese cuisine either.

Palsun Chinese Restaurant. Sorry but they don’t sell siomai and peking duck.
And for all the restos that I’ll be writing about here, I’ll be featuring a “featured dish” (redundant much?). Today, it’s none other than the famous 짜장면 (Jjajangmyeon aka black noodles).

Because when eating black noodles, it’s imperative that you try to look cute, even if it’s annoying. That’s like… tradition.

Who is Miriam Quiambao?
March 27, 2011 by yeojachingu
Everyone in the country knows who Miriam Quiambao is. Aside from the fact that she was crowned 1st runner up at the 1999 Miss Universe competition, she’ also a host and an endorser, not to mention, one of the most elegant women in the industry. If you’ve been living here in the past 10 years, you would know who she is. Well, maybe not if you’re Korean… much more if you don’t watch local TV.
And so that’s the premise of this post. Earlier today, we shot a Krimmy Couple video blog to celebrate our first “couple run” and somewhere during our “spiels”, Miriam Quiambao was mentioned (topic was about which is better, North or South and Ms. Quiambao’s from Lagro, bitch. 5 minutes away from my house). And Jimmy was like… “WHO’S THAT???” And I was like “HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW HER???”
Fast forward to about 30 minutes later, after our run, while we were at the Media tent.
Jimmy: Wow! Jagi (자기 – sweetheart/honey)… who’s that ippeo (이뻐 – pretty)? Is she a celebrity? *points at a woman*
Kring: Where? OMGGGGGG!!! That’s Miriam Quiambao WTFFF. O___o
Jimmy: Who?
Kring: I was just talking about her while we were shooting!!! The Miss Universe from Lagro and UST!!!!

Dear destiny, you have pwned us.

Krimmy Couple for Gawad Kalinga at Globe Run For Home 2011
March 24, 2011 by yeojachingu
Guess who’s ready for this Sunday’s run!!!

Now we finally have couple singlets! Whoohoo!
So the Krimmy Couple will be running at this Sunday’s Globe Run For Home. We haven’t done ANYTHING athletic together (wait, except maybe that time we played basketball for 15 minutes at his camp before I said “Fuck it! You’re cheating.” LOL when I actually just suck at it and I got tired already). So I’m super excited about this. I’m even thinking of doing another video! ^____^

Kring on Chalk Mag March 2011 Issue
March 19, 2011 by yeojachingu
Okay okay, that title is kinda misleading but it is true that I’m on Chalk magazine’s March 2011 issue. It’s a big deal for me, mmkay? Much thanks to the Krimmy Couple’s good friend (and awesome make-up artist), Carla Avancena for featuring my photo on her own feature. So it’s only like a passport picture and you prolly won’t even notice it if you blink. But I don’t care. I was still on a magazine, yo!
Also, the reason why I put this here instead of on my own funnysexy blog is because that said photo was taken by the namchin. I’m so proud of you, too, bebe! Did I tell you he’s a “good” photographer? No? Oh.

That’s meeeeeeeeee~ On Page 63!
