I am reposting for Nikki!
Meet Bardo.
He was found running scared in traffic. The good samaritan that finally caught him said he was great in the car. The minute Bardo went from the street to the car his expression turned from fear to relief and gratitude.
The shelter staff tracked Bardo’s former owners through a micro-chip. Bardo waited cold and alone through the holidays for them. They never came. They obviously had no idea what a gem they had. This dog is special, truly special.
Bardo is about 2 years old. He is a sweet and soulful dog. If you are interested in adopting Bardo please visit the North Central Animal Shelter located on 3201 Lacy Street Los Angeles, CA 90031

yeah! for Sally

Well, some good news for Sally! After one of her fans read about her unfortunate situation a generous donation was made for her this month so we could get her x-rays done. I was really worried about how I was going to be able to do this. People have been so kind and amazing to her. None of this would be possible without her fans. It just really sucks that she has been through so much to make her better and yet now to find out it was for nothing – just a big mess. I guess we learn some hard lessons sometimes. Be careful who you trust. She is also getting a cart donated as well. wahoo! sally is going to get pimped out!
I can’t tell you all how grateful I am. You have no idea how much you all mean to us. I hope you get back a thousand times what you have done for us.

doggie hugs

I don’t think there is anything more perfect in the world than doggie hugs. It is so pure and they love you no matter what. Through hard times in life and in good times, they will always be there for you – loyal until the end. My dogs have been my rocks and we have been through so much together. If I am having a bad day Conrad and Ansli are right there and the won’t leave my side. We have been connected so strongly for nine years and going. Sometimes I think they know what I am thinking before I even think it. I am so in love with my critters and I can’t wait for us to move to a place where we can walk again and explore. A place where we can be out in the middle of nowhere, a place where all is quiet and peaceful.
Sometimes it is easy to feel lonely, but then I look down and she knows… She knows I was feeling that and she tells me I am not alone. So then I snap out of that nonsense and realize that my dogs are all I need and they make me so incredibly happy. They are my love, my light, my breath and my inspiration. I feel like I am the luckiest person on the planet.

It's Me or the Dog

I love this show so much. I aspire for my dogs to have manners and not be so naughty and hopefully one day that will happen. haha.
I have all sorts of training books on my amazon wish list and have actually bought a couple and read. Victoria is one of my favorites. She really puts things in perspective and shows you how to fix things in a positive way.
Training my dogs happens to be one of my New Years resolutions. So I am studying her site and getting her books and my dogs will soon be amazing.

A day with doggie friends

I had the best day out in the country with some doggie friends I had not seen in a while. Gracie and Laguna are FHS dogs that are being fostered here in Portland. They met for a play date and had the best time sniffing and running for a minute literally and then apparently that was so exhausting they all crashed.
Gracie has a boyfriend and his name is Porter a former Best Friends dog. I have never in my life seen a dog so enamored with another dog. She licks him every second she can and just adores him. I don’t blame her. He is so incredibly good looking and has the best calm energy I have ever seen in a dog.
It was a great day and I can’t wait to do it again!.

From Marbles to Wonder

One of my most FAVORITE people in the world is Nikki Audet. I adore this girl to the end of the earth and beyond. In fact, one day we will have our animal sanctuary, so we can rescue dogs and all kinds of animals. ANYWAYS! this is Marble. Nikki and I gathered tons and tons of blankets and bones for the Bemis dogs, these were dogs from Cindy Bemis a hoarder. These dogs were in the kennel for over 2 years and the kennels were small and that shelter is very scary. Nikki had a very strong connection with blind Marbles.
