Mountain View Letterbox
<$BlogRSDURL$>

Placed by: Mark & Sue
Placement date: Apr 17 2004
State: Vermont
County: Windham
Nearest city: West Dover
Number of boxes: 1
Directions:
Take Route 100 North from Wilmington center. Just past Taddingers gift store [about 2 miles], take a left onto Coldbrook Road following signs to Haystack Ski Area. From the turn on Coldbrook Road, go 3.5 miles and park at a small pulloff in front of a metal gate on the right side of the road. This is the Old Crosstown Road which is a great cross country ski or snowshoe trail and will take you to Haystack Golf Course if you follow the trail to the end.
Clues:
Proceed through the gate and down the trail. Soon, you will notice, on the right, a dead tree in a grouping with 2 pines and a 3 sister tall stump. Hidden in the center of the stump is what you seek. Once you replace the box carefully, look through the group of trees for a great view of Haystack Mountain.
If you have the time, continue up the road to our Symbols of Freedom Series.
Have fun and just get out there & box!!!
