About Me

I’m a freelance writer and full-time copywriter. I work from home and slave away at a whim of a handful kid.

“Rest” is in between work when I need to prepare meals, tend to The Kid and do some schoolwork with him. For a few minutes each day, I get to really rest and lie down when I need to ease my aching back from prolonged sitting. Yes, thank goodness for work hazards. Where would I be without them.

Holidays are when I can cuddle up in bed with my precious and beloved Kindle– preferably with chips in hand, take a shower in peace, or when The Kid is at school and the house is peaceful.

I am not completely averse to watching TV, but I am not overly keyed up to watching either. I simply rarely have the inclination to watch because it usually gets boring after a while. Plus, our TV is heavily guarded by a certain kid who spoke of things like “You can’t beat me, Darth Vader! Surrender now!”, and “Is that all you’ve got?”, and “We gotta save her!” or some equally intrepid and the-world-is-ending loaded dialogue. The last soap I’ve watched on TV was My Love from the Star, which I also watched in DVD in Korean with English subtitles. Me and the rest of my Do Min Joon-enthralled family– and I totally have a crush on Kim Soo Hyun. And so do my two nieces. And I digress almost all the time.

I have a passion for words and English in general, and I hate math, trigonometry, math, algebra, math and math. And math.

I love writing. Totally. Deeply. Completely.

I am a wannabe published author. And I’m pretty sure I will be one day, except I’ve been trying to finish my book for the last two years, it’s looking as though it will be an ultimate achievement of my life if I ever finish it. But when I do– and I will– it is definitely going in this blog. Whenever that may be.

Welcome to my blog! I blog to document my kid’s physical, mental and emotional progress, and to have some place to compose something when I’m choking with words and I need to slap words together quick.  I like to be funny in my writing and usually at my own expense, although I do, occasionally, get serious when I’m annoyed, or something. I don’t blog so I can an have an audience when I’m rambling (I submit that nobody reads blogs these days), but I’d be thrilled to have one. I reference this blog for writing work, and I’d love it if I could get some freelance writing work off here, too.  And yes, I give free writing services, as well. Leave me a message and we’ll talk about it. Or you can just say hi. I’d love to hear from you 🙂
