KDE3

1. Open a terminal window.
2. Type this command:

   /usr/bin/X11/kcontrol

3. Press the Enter key.
4. Open System Administration
5. Open Login Manager
6. Open the Convenience tab.
7. Check the Enable Auto-Login box.
8. Choose your username from the drop-down list.
9. Save.
10. Close the window,

KDE4

1. Open the K menu.
2. Left-click the Settings menu entry.
3. Left-click the System Settings menu entry.
4. Double left-click the Login Screen icon.
5. Left-click the Convenience tab.
6. Left-click in the check-box next to Enable Auto-Login.
7. Left-click the Apply button in the bottom right corner of the window.
