I’m a professional freelance writer, historical researcher and genealogist. I’ve been doing this conglomeration for about 10 years now and have carved myself a unique niche here in East Tennessee.
My writing forte is history, which bores my three kids to absolute death, but they do find that mom comes in handy every once in a while when they need help with an English or Social Studies project.
My favorite meal is a good Nebraska corn-fed beef steak, baked potato slathered in sour cream and an ear of sweet corn.
I have a ton of hobbies – sewing, cooking, writing, reading, painting. I like to dabble in all sorts of things. It’s just to hard for me to pick one thing and stick with it. I like to think of myself as a life long learner, but realistically I probably just have a very short attention span.
My travel goal is to one day make it to County Clare, Ireland to visit the home of my great, great grandfather, Michael McNamara. But I’ll settle for anywhere in Europe.
I own a wire fox terrier. If you own one of these creatures, you’ll understand the significance of that statement.
