Thank goodness you can question things like the Norwex cloth deal. I am very interested if anyone can prove wether that really does a better job or not. I have a lot of people talking to me about how much they love it but have not purchased any of it because I just don’t know if I buy into it just yet. hmmm….

Interesting debate. My husband and I debate this very often. Truth of the matter does either side have proof of their belief. What if God is the great Scientist and all of his creations are backed up by science? I don’t believe magic is Gods way and I do believe that gods miracles have science behind them to back them up but I don’t think we have all the answers nor do we understand science the way God does. To me the big bang theory sounds magical and so incredibly unlikely. My kitchen has all the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies but I have never seen them come together to make a chocolate chip cookie ever. This would be a lot less complex and much more likely for us to see come together before all that it would take to put together a world and life in it. A pastry chef who understands what ingredients to put together to make the cookies makes much more sense to me. My husband would agree with your reasoning. This debate is as old as time and I know we won’t agree. I truly believe in my side of the debate though.

This made me remember the time an interviewer spoke with one of the young Westboro Baptist children. He asked the child why he was out holding his sign. The kid got a big grin and told the interviewer how much fun it was to have people looking at him and the how all of the WBC adults were shouting and it was all very exciting. You could tell he thought he was at a big party – no idea why he was out there, just that there was a lot of excitement and he got to hold a sign ride the high.
Bringing it back: You nailed it – kids will get excited about the things we get excited about. I hope the reading celebration goes over well.
