I know you wrote this a few weeks ago but since I, too, feel as if I have just come up for air, have just got around to reading my regular blogs, for the first time this term, I thought I’d say hello!

I am the administrator for VHS Moodle.
We have just hit the problem of students using Onenote on the laptops which is not an extension accepted by Moodle. Could you please tell me how you overcame this?
Thank you,

Hi Mel, just doing some ‘catch up’ with google reader. The speedgeeking session sounds amazing and something I’d like to try at our school so I will be keen to hear all about it. I’m also keen to try some ‘lunch and learn’ at my school. I’ve already been doing a short PD session at the beginning of most Faculty meetings and Staff meetings. With our faculty I usually show a tool or a site or a lesson I’ve done with the laptops and answer questions, leaving teachers to take the idea further or ask for one on one help later. In the staff sessions I ‘teach’ a little more, showing staff how do to something. It can be quite simple: like how to access a specific resource through DET or how to create a email distribution list. These have been quite popular so I think if I start a lunch and learn it my grow very naturally.

Great! Thx for the information, and for passing my stuff on. I’ve bookmarked your article for a closer read when it’s a more sensible time (it’s coming up to 1 am where I live!). I’m interested in ideas like lunch and learns and the others that you featured here. Thx for collating such good ideas.
My mission this year was to use Edmodo more effectively so I have been integrating technology into year 11 and year 10 via Edmodo. I’ve been really happy with the results although I think its time to step up into the social networking side of it.
Promise I’ll look in more often, Mel.
]]>I am looking to using OneNote as a tool for external/online students. You mention students submitting via Moodle, this is the LMS we currently use and I would appreciate any tips you have – particularly if you have uploaded a Onenote Notebook into moodle, but any handy tips would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Liz
