Stephanie Silberstein is the author of Shades of Gay, an LGBT-themed young adult novel about a gay high school senior’s struggle to come out and have his first relationship while living in a small town. She currently lives in North Carolina with her best friend/adopted sister Gavri’el, who is a transgender woman as well as the cover artist for Shades of Gay.
