down an empty hallway
Its movements fixed
its’ blank space cracked
Limbo appears – a dream
of the dead longing for
resurrection
their timeless loop
a chord sustaining.

Vodka pills – the rope
of sleep around my neck
Summer nights that numbs me
Of the days worries –
the divisions I feel
Of conscious stunned
and shaky,
spent still in the emptiness
of the nights chaos
slowly dissolving, as safe now I lie
and sink – and if I die before I wake
pray my soul comforting embrace –
Pills for the throes, the woes
the rattle in my soul
my song of joy.
