tl;dr
My research is focused on understanding the interplay of AI and social systems, good or bad. For this purpose, I am combining machine learning theory and methods with complex systems theory including networks, dynamics, and emergence. I aim to establish the necessary theoretical and methodological foundations for AI to safely interact with society and to obtain results that have a direct impact on AI practice, methods, and governance.
