About
I care a lot about making AI go well, and have spent my career so far doing technical research to help with that!
Currently, I’m a Visiting Student Researcher at Google Deepmind, working on Chain-of-thought monitoring. Normally, I’m a PhD student at the University of Toronto, where I am supervised by Roger Grosse.
Before I started my PhD, I was part of the founding team at UK’s AI Safety Institute—I helped scale the organisation, and started our post-training team. I’ve also been a research intern at UC Berkeley, worked with Owain Evans to better understand LLM generalization, and completed my CS undergrad at the University of Cambridge.
