Native Brook Trout
Hard to believe these little guy's were surviving in this stream.....pounding waterfalls...narrow passages amongst rocks and boulders...very slow to extremely fast white water.......yet here they were....usually just below a small set of rapids.....channeling there food supply right too them......as they sit using as little energy as possible while waiting for the next tasty tidbit......
A few Waterfalls....of the 23 at Ricketts Glen......such a beautiful place...great hike ......Mother Nature at her best......Awesome Hemlocks.......Native Brook Trout.....and Perfect Weather....it dosen't get any better.....
I wish I could have let this Young Bull Moose borrow some of the Deep Woods Off.......from the look of the hundred's of Black Flies on him......he would have appreciated some relief.......it's a wonder they don't go mad....geeeezzzzz.......
She is a Young Cow Moose....Was very interested in getting to the fresh grass with the morning dew on it......so determined that she showed no fear of me.....
It only takes a few seconds and this Big Gal can poof into the woodline....becoming imposible to see.....She turns for one last look.....insuring I am not following.....
