Thanks to the RSPCA we were able to adopt beautiful Lyra, whose mother was a stray. They had to rehome her earlier than they normally would because the mother isn’t too fond of humans (she hisses) and there was a risk her kittens would pick that up from her – also the volunteer foster carer had run out of space. If you want a cat, please consider  adopting  a rescue kitten before buying.  There are so many in need of a loving home, including pedigree cats!  (or skip the whole parenting stage and find an adult cat you get on with).
