Well…it has finally happened!! I got into medical school and am now a proud member of the Temple University School of Medicine Class of 2012!!!!! Obviously, I’m over-the-moon with excitement right now. New school, new city, new friends, new experiences…a new beginning mixed with my same old self.
Now, whenever I tell someone that I will be a medical student, the surefire question I always receive in response is, “What kind of doctor?” Well, to answer this burning question, as of right now, I’m aiming for emergency medicine. I’ve volunteered in the ER for over two years now and simply can’t get enough of it. As cheesy as it may sound, when I’m in the ER helping patients, I just feel like I belong and that I’m supposed to do this for the rest of my life.
Perhaps when I’m done with my residency Dr. Boyfriend and I can open a two person hospital. I’ll see the patients and he’ll take care of the prescriptions. Something tells me we’re a pretty perfect pair.
So, here’s my message to the world: Look out, because I’m on my way.
