Hello and welcome to my blog.

My name is Linda and this is where I post the best of my photography, ramble about stuff and pop culture, and share occasion-appropriate quotes.

When I started this blog in September 2015, I had only a little idea of what I wanted to do with it. It’s now got 700+ posts and an own domain. Something’s got going.

It was the invention of camera phones that truly got me into taking pictures, though I believe that desire was always in me–it’s sort of in my blood. I had a Fujifilm Finepix compact for a while, then in 2016 I bought myself a Canon EOS D1200 DSLR, which I still use to this day. I make a lot of use of my smartphone as well.

I mostly photograph skies, nature, the city, buildings, places I’ve visited, animals if they co-operate, signs, and random things I encounter in my everyday life. I also like to try my hand at still life. Not people (unless they’re performing on stage), and I never take selfies.

About me, originally I am from Bratislava in Slovakia and now live in Manchester, UK, with my black cat Pepper. I’m single by choice and childfree. I have a standard 9-to-5 office job. I like coffee, pizza, cats, chocolate, long walks, visiting places, learning new things, Agatha Christie, L.M. Montgomery, books, trees, birds, candles, castles, Star Trek, history, maps, sleep, quizzes, and the actor Sam Claflin. Most of the time I live in my head.

Any post that contains a picture or pictures that weren’t taken by me is tagged not my pic. (This is usually something obvious, like a picture of a celebrity or a meme.) If you see any photo or image here that you think should not be here, please let me know and I will remove it.
