Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio about my STEM teaching life! I am a biologist at heart who is endlessly curious about the natural world around her. Through my years working at zoos and aquariums, I have a passion for sharing wildlife with everyone, and a commitment to connecting as many people to the diversity of life as I can.

I want to get up close and personal with research! Yasha, a female Steller sea lion who has been participating in voluntary research for over 15 years with the Vancouver Aquarium. She has helped researchers better understand the diving physiology of Steller sea lions, as well as revealing why this species declined by 80% since the 1980’s. Thanks Yasha!
