Claire rolled over for the first time yesterday. I left her playing on the floor while I went to the bathroom and when I came back downstairs she was on her belly with her head up. When I got down on the floor to tell her what a good job she had done, she couldn't have been prouder of herself! Now, the minute I put her on the floor she rolls around.

Claire Rolled Over!!

Let's Cook!
Madelyn wanted to help me cook dinner the other night, so I told her to put on her apron...and this is how she showed up in the kitchen. I let her put all the ingredients into a bowl, then I dumped them into the hot pot. It was a good learning experience; she was able to start learning how to measure ingredients and count the correct number of table spoons.
While we were waiting for dinner to finish cooking, we found Madelyn sitting on the floor in the living room. She looked exhausted..."Dinner is hard work!"

Claire's TWO months old!!
I can't believe how the time is flying by with Claire. She is already 9 1/2 weeks old! We had her two month appointment on Monday and the results are:
height: 23 3/4 = 95%
weight: 13 lbs. 11 1/2 oz. = 97%
head: 15 3/4" = 75 % ( much small than Madelyn's!)

Another weekend at the beach!
Well, I decided to take the girls to DE by myself. The ride there and Friday went really well, but Saturday on the way home we ran into A LOT of traffic. Let's just say it wasn't the most pleasant 5 HOURS!! All in all, we had a great time. We didn't make it to the beach, but Madelyn went swimming and to the boardwalk. She absolutely LOVES rides...the faster the better.

Beach!
We went to Rehoboth Beach, DE to visit family two weekends ago and Daddy and Madelyn spent the morning at the beach. Madelyn had a great time playing in the sand and ocean. We are planning another trip this weekend, but it will just be Mom and the girls, so I don't know if we will make it to the beach.
Saturday night we went to the boardwalk and although, it was WAY past Madelyn's bedtime she was really good! You can see the exhaustion on her face!
Claire Bear
Well, it's time for an update an the "little one." She is growing soooo fast!! Her eyes seem to be staying blue and she hasn't really lost any of her hair yet. She is really a cutie.
She has just started smiling and trying to "talk." Her nickname around the house is "Claire Bear" or "Care Bear, " in Madelyn terms. Madelyn is proving to be an excellent big sister. She really tries to take care of her and comfort her when she cries. I am really proud of her!
Claire loves to look at the world, and her and I have been going for walks almost every night.

First Haircut
Madelyn had her first haircut a few weeks ago. You would have thought she had done it a thousand times. She sat so still and even looked down when we asked her too.
It's been a few weeks but she is still talking about her haircut (she wants another one already!) and the zebra she saw there.

Claire's Here!
I had Claire Marie on Saturday morning at 4:46 a.m. She was a big baby!! She weighed 9lb. 11oz. Madelyn is doing great with her. She always wants to "hold her" and looks at her and says "cute." I just got home from the hospital, so I will try to put some pictures up later today or tomorrow.

About Me
- Angela
- My name is Angela Lerew. I am a stay-at-home mom with two girls, Madelyn and Claire. I started this journey after graduating from Texas A&M and marrying my best friend, Scott. We lived in Dallas for a year, then found our way to Pennsylvania for a job opportunity. We lived there for about 4 years, until Scott got transferred to Indianapolis, IN. We moved here at the end of 2008. I have always had a passion for Interior Design and had started that path in college, until I changed direction and majored in History. During my time in college my love of design and history, took me to Europe…twice! I spent two summers soaking up the history and architecture. Finances don’t always allow for all the “ideas” I have…you can just ask Scott, so I have to improvise most of the time. My improvising has taken me on a new journey of self-discovery! You will be amazed at what you can accomplish, if you want something bad enough. I hope that as you read my blog you will be inspired to find new ways of using unique items and make your home and life something you are proud to share!
