Germany is still very much, “Fifties housewife” with regards to women. It’s changing, but the feminist movement was very late to take root there, and Women are generally expected to be the homemakers, housekeepers, child-watchers, etc. Like I said, it’s changing with the younger generations, but it’s still pretty entrenched.
