Ongoing Supervision

I am currently a registered Higher Degree by Research (HDR) supervisor at Griffith University, holding transitional status.

As part of my role at Griffith University, specifically through the TIME@ARC Hub&Griffith, I have begun supervising research assistants, research interns, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) students, and Doctoral (PhD) candidates in both co-principal and principal supervision capacities.

  • On-site Research Interns:
    • Syuan-Hao Li, ARC Research Hub internal research project (co-supervised with Prof. Yongsheng Gao), Bachelor Student@National Taitung University, 2025/06/05 – present
    • Ankur Singh, TIME Lab internal research project, Bachelor Student@ANU, 2025/10/08 – present
  • On-site PhD candidates:
    • Edwin Kwadwo Tenagyei, TIME Lab internal research project, Doctoral candidate@Griffith&ARC Hub, 2025/05/30 – present
  • Remote PhD candidates:
    • Zhicheng Zhang, TIME Lab internal research project, Doctoral candidate@UNSW Canberra, 2025/10/10 – present
  • Remote Research Trainee:
    • Bikash Kumar Badatya, TIME Lab internal research project, Master’s Student@IIT Gandhinagar, 2025/10/06 – present

Completed Supervision

I have successfully supervised more than ten final-year research students, including master’s, honours, and interns, most of whom have produced arXiv preprints or publications in leading conferences such as ICLR, NeurIPS, and ICML. Their research spans video understanding, temporal modeling, and trustworthy AI. First appointment following supervision noted.
