- January 21st-23rd → Formal assessment & exam day – learners in session only if scheduled for an exam
- Saturday, January 24th → Info session for the 2026-27 school year
- Wednesday, January 28th → Short Wednesday (in session 12:30-3:30 pm)
- Saturday, February 7th → Info session for the 2026-27 school year
- Friday, February 13th → Pro D day – school not in session
- Monday, February 16th → Family day – school not in session

Land Acknowledgement
PSII acknowledges and thanks the lək̓ʷəŋən People, also known as the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, for the opportunity to learn and to celebrate on their lands. Lək̓ʷəŋən means “Place to smoke herring”, and lək̓ʷəŋiʔnəŋ refers to the language of the land. Lək̓ʷəŋən traditionally, and still to-date, unites the Esquimalt and Songhees peoples as one people.
What’s different about PSII?
At PSII, our teachers are professional facilitators of learning, who adapt learning conditions to be developmentally appropriate to each learner, who encourage and seamlessly incorporate legitimate in and out of school learning experiences, and who offer or find expertise as demanded by co-created individual learning.
Our approach
In the inquiry process, learning is organic, with new questions emerging all the time. Many of those questions are unpredictable, making it necessary for teachers to manage this emergent nature of learning at PSII. That is not to say we don’t plan ahead; we do! But we plan in a way that allows significant openings at suitable times for emergent learning to fit. Teachers are responsive, and learners have agency in their learning.
