Lavender Bay is a place of soothing scents and restful sleep. The cool water tickles, the clouds form images.
The voice of the turtle is sometimes a soft coo, sometimes stony silence. The turtle may be downy or hard, airborne or underwater, or it may be a few feet from you, sunning itself on the edge of Lavender Bay.

i recently purchased a beautiful soapstone carving by Ben Henry and was wondering where i could find any information about him. the piece is a wolf and is just amazing! anyway, if you have any info, i would love to hear from you.

Unfortunately, I probably don’t know any more than you do, if you tried googling “Ben Henry sculptor” like I did. Ben was born in 1950 in Ohsweken, moved to St Catherines for a while in childhood, and returned to Ohsweken in his teens. He’s been carving since 1982, and his work is sold in a number of Ontario galleries. His wife, Loreene, also carves.
Maybe the owners of the place where you bought your piece could give you more information. Good luck!
