Crossing my eyes and fingers on your behalf. Sadly not surprised by the return to school illnesses. Hope not covid. Hope you can get the two to school more regularly. Hope your work situation improves AND you get some rest and real assistance.
Lovely to know you are still hanging in and holding on. How you manage to post on top of the reality of your world is impressive and very much appreciated. THANK YOU! ]]>

That stomach bug that has been going around this year has been brutal, from what I’ve heard from people who have caught it.

Oof I’m so sorry. At least family help is on the way. The other thing I’ve found (unsurprisingly) is all the quarantining/back to school really messes with kid’s idea of schedules and going back to school is painful.

This is such a beautiful description of your son! I was just catching up on your recent posts (occasional lurker sorry) and your son reminds me a lot of my son. You mentioned considering having him tested or evaluated and I did want to say that some of what you describe could be signs of autism. This isn’t necessarily considered a big deal any more since the spectrum is very broad, but if you are looking to find resources or suggestions on understanding him or having his evaluated that might be a place to start. There’s also strong overlap with autism and seizures in case you want to explore how the diagnosis fits your daughter. They sound like wonderful, independent kids!

WOW to both year end wrap ups.
Yes, a tough year and also one that you did more than just survive. You all grew in many different ways. Impressive.
The new year isn’t starting with ease but with lots of problems. Hoping we all keep moving forward and finding our path without lose of balance. Good therapists really help. Also remembering it happens a day at a time and sometimes just one minute at a time.
Holding on, hanging in. Appreciate your writing so much. You help me ground in reality and remind me one step and then the next. THANK YOU.
Very best wishes! ]]>

I hope everyone gets better and stays better!
]]>Also yes, I’m with you on not being resigned to getting covid and still trying to avoid getting it as much as possible.

Thank you. I worry these days. SO glad not covid. FIngers crossed it is never that.
]]>Dearest Rose! We are just busy (kids sick again again again, but never COVID), and gearing up for some carefully orchestrated holidays to minimize risks. I am being productive at work which often means I am less prolific here, as it is a procrastination tool as well as outlet.
Sending warm wishes to you as well, and an electronic hug! Be well, be joyful, and eat delicious things.
