THIRTY
•November 30, 2009 • Leave a CommentLast day of NaBloPoMo!
•November 30, 2009 • Leave a CommentWell, I nearly did it… If it wasn’t for circumstances beyond my control, I totally would have done it. Today was a pretty lazy day. I did go out and shop for a bit. Bought some more Christmas presents. (Less things to pack when I’m back in 2-1/2 weeks) Then tonight Grandma came over for supper. We watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation after she left. Classic. I plan to watch that movie at least once more before Christmas. I’m getting a ride with my high school band teacher to Estevan tomorrow. That will give ma and pa a little less driving to do. (well, pa…)

Home!
•November 29, 2009 • Leave a CommentWell, I’m finally home. Unfortunately I couldn’t post yesterday because most of my time was spent in airports and once I got to Regina, internet access was limited. And let’s be honest, I totally forgot. Today was a good day, well, other than the Riders losing the Grey Cup. Who woulda thought I’d be at a Grey Cup party tonight??? AND actually watch the game? Not me. I got some shopping done today as well. I should be sleeping now, after all it is 1:13AM, but BC time it’s only 11:13PM… I think it would be best if I didn’t adjust to SK time, since I’m not here for long…
In any case, I’m tired… so, I guess I should post twice tomorrow, you know, so I actually succeed in the “30 posts, 30 days”… I’m so close!!!
Long Day
•November 27, 2009 • Leave a CommentRough day.
Booked my ticket home.
Tomorrow will be even longer as I spend most of my time in airports.

House Shoppin’
•November 25, 2009 • Leave a CommentToday I went and looked at a house. I love it. The only thing is the location isn’t the BEST, and it’s a little more than I was planning on spending. I guess I have to think it through and make a decision in the next few days. Tonight I watched Katie’s girls while she went to choir. It’s pouring rain here again tonight. Hopefully the wind won’t keep me up. I’m so tired though, so I best be going to bed now.

Fail
•November 25, 2009 • Leave a Comment30 posts in 30 days, right??? So if I post twice today, that will make up for yesterday’s slip? I just realized right now that I didn’t post yesterday. Then I thought to myself, “what happened? why didn’t I post yesterday?” Then I remembered…
I fell asleep on the couch before 8PM. Then I woke up around 11 – went to bed – but couldn’t go back to sleep. So I got up and watched TV on the couch again. Then I fell asleep again, woke up and went to bed. I didn’t sleep well though because of the howling wind outside.
What’s disappointing is that I actually had something to share yesterday…
I got a call from the head of the committee selecting who will play O Canada for the Olympic Torch.
It’s not us.
But it was ALMOST us.
They wanted us to play while the choir sang along, but the choir director said it couldn’t be done. So the committee had to decide between the choir and the band. And they thought the National Anthem should be sung, so…
😥
They have asked us to play a “pre-show” for it though, so not all’s lost. We will also be playing O Canada for the Northern BC Winter Games.

Out too late
•November 23, 2009 • Leave a CommentTonight after band practice we had our traditional “after practice meeting”. I stayed out way too late and now must go to bed. Today could have quite possibly been one of the most boring-est days of my life.
Seriously. You didn’t miss anything.
Goodnight!

Baby-sittin’ and walkin’
•November 22, 2009 • Leave a CommentToday I thought I’d finish all my report cards, but instead I just got 2 schools done. This afternoon I walked to Katie’s and took care of ALL. THREE. KIDS. while she played piano at the choir concert. It went quite well (the baby-sitting and the concert…) Then I walked home. Tomorrow I have to get the rest of those report cards done so that they’re out of the way. And really… that’s how exciting today was.

Craft Fair and Tim Horton’s
•November 21, 2009 • Leave a CommentA rather quiet day today. This morning I met Shauna at the craft fair. We toured around and then I met with Katie and her girls there and walked around again. Then for lunch we went to Tim Horton’s. At the craft fair I bought some stamps to make Christmas cards. I wasn’t going to make/send any this year, but these stamps looked so cute/fun, that I thought I better buy them. It will give me something to do in the next few weeks because I will have so much free time… (HAHA!)
Really… that’s pretty much all for today…
I’m enjoying days like this because I know that the Christmas madness is just around the corner…
