My 8-week Journey

As many of my friends know me, I was a fatty, chubby, loves-to- eat person, person to call where to eat (claiming it for my Friend Mich), little did they know that I have been AGAIN and AGAIN challenging myself to lose weight.

Last February 2014, if my memory serves me right, I have decided to lose some pounds I had been carrying for years. Indeed, I was able to get rid of them by doing exercises at the gym, eating the right foods (I had a diet delivery then) and taking meal replacements. I lost 6lbs for a month, from 150lbs to 144lbs. Then I ate again and again and again and the pounds I lose easily came back that in 2015, I gained 10lbs and my weight shoot up to 154lbs. It was December 2015 when I decided to try a diet delivery service through Yummy Diet. Since December is mostly the special month of every year for employees who are getting their 13th month pay, I purchased a month or 4-week delivery service. The service started on the first week of January 2016 up to its 4th week. My diet is not easy, there are foods that I am not usually eating but then I was able to manage to lose 6 or 7lbs for the whole month. Then, since I have no more money to purchase another delivery, I went back eating the same old oily-but-cheap foods. And I gained weight again. My Yo-Yo diet is so frustrating. People around me are saying, “Ayan ka na naman Tin.” which I fully understood. Because of what they saw in me for the past two years.

It was in June 2016 when I convinced myself to give losing weight a try and boy it was never easy. I had to change what I eat and what I do. I enrolled in a gym near my workplace and buy foods from Healthy Options and Rustan’s. Spell s-p- e-n- d-i- n-g- m-o- n-e- y. My starting weight was 68.5kg and was taken last June 13, 2016 in the College’s clinic. I was so big that I still don’t consider myself big, because I always say, “Masarap ang kumain.”

The turning point why I decided to push this hard was, I wanted to be healthy when my boyfriend decides to propose a wedding. Yes. I am readying myself when the time comes. But that’s not the only reason why, my Friend Kat who is currently based in Singapore became my fitspiration, why? Simply because, way back in college, she was bigger than me, and now she is waaaaaaaay to smaller now from my weight when we were studying.

On the 2nd week of my journey, I decided to participate in the weightloss challenge in the gym where I do exercises. From 68.5kg, as of August 25, I am 61.72kgs. losing 7 kilograms may be a small number, but little by little, my body is getting used to little foods I eat and exercises I do.

To give you proof, here is the front photos for the past few weeks with corresponding dates:

I am getting rid off the fats around me, and now I am around 60kgs. I am hoping to lose more so that on my birthday this year, my weight would hopefully be down to 50kgs.

I hope in anyway, I was able to inspire everyone through my weight loss journey.

Happy reading!

One day…

I will be gone.

And no one will care.

And no one will remember that I have existed.

I will disappear in peace.

And I will never be a burden.

Gourmand for a Day

After our journey in The Lego Store, we have decided to stroll around Bonifacio High Street. We visited some stores and Lunell bought some items. When we got out the last store we visited there was a gourmet market. I asked Lunell if we can checked and he obliged. Food and drinks were everywhere! Here are some of the photos:

I cannot remember all the stall names but the event was presented by Globe Platinum, we scored pens from the their booth too! There were ice cream stalls, juices, pork (I don’t know how to call the food), wine etc. But what caught my attention was this:

TAKOYAKI

I have this obsession when I see takoyaki, I want to eat them all. Eating takoyaki brings joy in me. Look at Fuji Mama’s Takoyaki below

Experienced Lego Store

Last Saturday, May 23, 2015, my boyfriend and I decided to go to BGC because he or rather we wanted to see and experience the new Lego Certified Store in the country. I was a bit disappointed when I saw it from the outside as I was expecting a big store. We parked our car and then went to the store.

You will be greeted by the large figures such as Darth Vader, Policeman etc. before you enter the store and here are some characters:

While inside the store, I was overwhelmed, boxes of Legos left and right. Here are some of the photos of the store:

They also have your DIY lego, you can choose your bricks of different sizes and colors, and your own legoman (3 for Php 499.00). Here is our DIY Legoman:

They also have a corner for kids to play lego and some displays. What I admired in this place is the lego architecture they had on display. Take a look.

You can also buy LED keychains and other lego stuff. The Lego Certified Store is located at Park Triangle, Rizal Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

I hope you can also visit and see what The Lego Store can offer and bring home with you.

Foodie In Me

Foodie? Me?

Yes? Somehow. Here’s the proof. I am becoming a foodie if I love what I will be eating. In this case, my kryptonite – shrimp. We ordered this Amalfi Prawns last Saturday when we went to Marcia Adams in Alfonso, Cavite – a sidetrip to our Tagaytay escape. This dish was just an appetizer, but for me if you will gonna add rice, it is a complete meal already.

Since prawns is my appetizer, Carbonara with Bacon is my main course (you can choose between bacon or smoke mussel as main ingredient of your pasta). And lastly for my dessert its Lavander Cremé Bruleè.

Total damage in Marcia Adams, around Php 900.00

Sea, Sand and Me

February 7 – 8, 2015
Camaya Sands, Mariveles, Bataan

A great day to start the “summer-is-just-around-the-corner”. It was first weekend of Love month when Mama decided to join her officemates early summer escapade in Camaya Sands in Mariveles. Yes, it is Camaya Sands within the Camaya Coast.

The day started by going to Sun Cruises’ port in CCP Complex. Sun Cruises caters tours to Corregidor, Camaya Coast and even Sunset Cruise in Manila Bay. There was a ferry waiting for passengers to board. Camaya Coast accepts “Day-Tour” trips wherein you can spend eight hours in the resort. You will depart 10 o’ clock in the morning and will arrive around 12 noon at the Floating Port of Camaya. There are free usage of Kayak, Bike, Infinity Pool etc. during the day tour. Oh! There’s a welcome drink too and they serve lunch upon arrival. However, in our case we will stay overnight so we have separate meals, to be ordered in their restaurant.

I experienced 12 Stone

Last May to early June I kept hearing and reading about this music festival by 12 Stone Inc. over the radio and on the Internet. To my surprise, my friend and co-teammate Rommel covered their June 1 gig at Eastwood City. The said music festival are touring to Megaworld Lifestyle Malls. And the next mall to invade is Lucky Chinatown Mall. YES! Finally, near my place.

It was Friday, June 7. The show will start at 5PM and I have work until that time, no one can accompany me. Few days before, I asked my officemate to join me for FREE. The show is literally free, however to be able to meet and greet the artists you are required to buy their album just like any mall shows. Going back, YES, I will pay for our the transpo, meal (if permitted) just accompany me. His work schedule is until 6PM so we have to wait for it.

We arrived at the venue thirty minutes passed 6. The show has started, Absolute Play was performing their last song, their self-titled album is also available at the gate of the venue. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take any photo of them. Next performer is Ruth Legaspi (I can’t find a social media page for here but I can show her photos).

After the performance of Ms. Legaspi, it was followed by none other than, Ms. Barbie Almalbis. She sang the crowd’s favorite and classic soundtrack, Tabing Ilog.

Next is Rocksteddy. The band has been in the industry for quite sometime but before they invade Philippine Music, they play for the church. My cousin even confirm it with me. The band promoted their album entitled, Instadramtic, with the carrier single, Sama Sama.

After they sang, Ms. Kitchie Nadal performed. She sang some of her songs from the previous album and promoted her new album, Malaya.

And for the finale, it was Save Me Hollywood. It was my first time to hear the name, but then, I liked their songs. Paramore inspired. 🙂 Here are the photos:
