More than anything else, he was just a complete douchebag with zero loyalty to any cause. At first, his goal was to liberate Japan, but by the end of the show you can see how much he actually accomplished towards improving their lives. Then, it was to avenge euphy and rid the world of geass (specifically lelouch’s), but he had no problem with the emperor using geass on lelouch, nunally and the rest of the student council. And at some point, you might have thought it was all for the sake of the wishes of nunally, until you realize he routinely lies to her, and allows her to be used by schneizel. I don’t mind dbags being dabgs (in fact, schneizel was one of my favorite characters on the show), but at least the stood for something that was consistent in their character. Suzaku was just all over the place, akin to a 5- year old running around with scissors

Righteous?? Someone might have told you not to make assumptions over the net, but I guess morons will be morons. I hate Suzaku because he is foolish enough to think that conforming to Britannian authority will make any kind of a difference; as if they would give him more power. He was a knight because of Euphie in the first place; if Zero’s geass hadn’t run away t that moment, Euphemia and Cornelia probably would have helped Japan reform.

Second point is how Suzaku just wants to stop killing, without regards to how the people who are alive are living. He kills his father to stop the war; he has never done anything to protect or promote the japanese; And then he goes off about wrong methods accomplishing nothing. As one blogger said, “The only thing that keeps him going is the slim hope that the path of non-aggression, of collaboration, of brown nosing and working within a corrupt system, might eventually lead to a better future. And some heavy guilt-tripping at work. Like, a lot of it.”

He just wants the least death and destruction thrown in his face, the least possible amount of blood on his hands-nevermind that someone else will have to kill the enemy he just spared, not caring about the fact that said enemy is going to kill or torture several people in the future.

No way in hell I’d trust anyone like that.

That’s why Lelouch is admirable to me. He admits what he is doing is evil at times, but he is still willing to sacrifice his soul for others (his sister and the world).
