ARTIST’S STATEMENT:  

 

Kerry Ellen is a lifelong student of the creative process, writing, designing jewelry, fusing glass, flameworking beads, making stained glass or micxed media pieces that incorporate glass.

Kerry Ellen loved glass even as a child, when she was told her ancestors in Sweden were glassblowers.  A few years ago she gave glass a try, and she has been hooked ever since!  She does flameworking (making glass beads with a blow torch), stained glass, and most recently, kiln-fused glass.  Her passion is handcrafting jewelry and other items that feature handworked glass, Swarovski crystals, semi-precious gemstones, abalone shells, and other natural items.
