Greetings! I’m Kelly D. Palmer and I live and write in La Quinta, California, a desert community not far from Palm Springs.

I’m the creator and author of the Pepper Morgan mystery series. I’m currently working on rewriting the first draft with hopes of eventual publication. As a former journalist, my work has been published in many newspapers under my “regular” name, Diane Carmony.

In addition to writing, I’m passionate about: dogs, cats, farm animals, nature, the forest, the Oregon coast, Indiana woods, friends, beading, traveling, cooking, wine and reading. I grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana, and moved to California in 1998. I’ve also lived in Australia and Germany.  And my heart holds reminders of Italy, Paris and Ireland and the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

I’m excited about meeting other writers and readers. I would love to hear from you if you want to talk about sleuths, clues and red herrings. Or if you want to talk about almost anything else…

   You have a wonderful blog, and your writing talent is evident in your posts.

   Congratulations on your upcoming publication!

   I also see another talented writer and friend here, to my happy surprise. Waves to Gypsy/Tasha. And back I go to my beta-reading of her novel, winks.

   I loved your Michael Jackson post. I’ve been rocked to the core by his death, having grown up with both the Jackson Five and Michael’s music — pretty much the soundtrack of my youth.

   The world has lost another light, another genius, and much, much too soon. Most of all, I hope he’s finally at peace.

3. Much congratulations on having your first book be published! That’s so exciting. I wish you tons of success with it. 🙂

   My mother is always looking for new mystery series, so give me a holler when your book comes out. I’ll be sure to let her know about it.
