The Giant Himalayan Lily flowers only every 7 years. And it’s beautiful.

I first heard the term from my Dad as a kid in the late forties.A “Tush Hog” is a term that is used to describe a male that lives to street fight and will fight, win or lose, just for the honor of having been in a fight. This term is often used in front of the person to whom they are referring as a “Tush Hog” also enjoys the recognition the name brings.
A one in a thousand badass on steroids.

Again a younger generation that never lived the life. A tush hog wouldn’t start a fight, but would grin at the thought of getting into one. I would guess that various and sundry idiots would use “fighting words” in a bar, and not expect someone to be offended, but a tush hog would. Profanity in the North and by millennial college girls is fake tough and is never backed up with action. In the South in the past at least, to call a man certain things was the same as slapping him in the face. Tush hogs didn’t start fights but would always finish them, with whatever it took. There was less profanity and a lot more manners in bars in the old days.

A bad ass or redneck who causes problems… That is the description given to me from an older gentleman I worked for there. He described another man he hired as once being a tush hog..
