Dearest Sophie ~ My deepest apologies for my delayed response to your heartfelt questions. I do not mind your asking in light of your own half sister’s first family search. I was adopted when I was one year of age and was born in 1957. I do not really know what city or village in Korea I was born nor anything at all about my first family. I began my search over 15 years ago and have been able to locate a foster family, White Baptist missionaries, who were in Korea, who took me in for a few months to nurse me back to health before returning me to another orphanage. I wish you & your family the best in your search. As an intercountry adoptee, I know first hand the frustration and the heart pain involved in searching for our family of origin.
