The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction by Walter Benjamin
Walther Benjamin’s essay ’The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction’ writes: “the authenticity of a thing is the essence of all that is transmissible from its beginning, ranging from its substantive duration to its testimony to the history which it has experienced”. Benjamin acknowledges the reality of artistic reproduction throughout history, although he suggests that mechanical reproduction introduced an entirely new and revolutionary change in the experience of the artwork. With mechanical reproduction, which appears in its most radical forms in film and photography, millions of images of an original are circulated, all of which lack the “authentic” aura of their source.
Through this notion the project circulated around the title of the book, set in the published three languages, continually degrading through each spread by printing and scanning with 99% resizing each time, continuing and questioning the aura of the mechanical reproduction in the digital world where the digital and analogue reproduction continues and cancelling each others authenticity. In that sense you can see the degradiation throughout the book, while the transformation being unnoticeable at first, the contuniation of the degrading title creates awareness of the ’analogue’ reproduction status in todays society.
By highlighting a selection of the around eight hundred photographers who have attended the school, commonly known as Fotoskolan, attention is drawn to and discussed in the different genres and development of the photographer for half a century. From 1966 to 2016.
The book includes memories and reflections of the photographers, teachers and programmers experience of technology, politics and methodology.

The pattern is an exploration of scale, where as on distance it looks like water ripples and up close it creates an unknown texture resembling shadow.
It’s meant for public transport, especially for the seats, to create a sea of movement with a depth from the viewers perspective.

With the purpose to unite the largest religions and remove prejudices of which religion you belong to, the covers of each religions script is created equal. The only difference is the ISBN number and the text on the spine. The spine creates multiple coherent stories by rearranging them in the bookshelf, to further unify them.
The texts come from the chapter about the end of the world from the different religions individual script.

The band Poppets included one of Shangri-Las song, as a tribute, on their own single EP. To enhance the meeting between these two songs, that both differ in genre and century, the title and gradient merges or seperates them depending on how you insert the record in the sleeve.

The discrimination against Romani people has been going on in Sweden for centuries.
The texts come from a white paper, published by the state, officially declaring the horryfying events the country is responsible for.
The two-sided publication contains on one side interviews from Romanis, who’ve been living in Sweden or just arrived, telling their stories and on the other side the summary from the Swedish government by their action throughout the year to today.
