I am a fairly decent human being who is rapidly aging. I shave with the hope of being carded at bars.
I appreciate a good laugh, especially at the expense of other people.
I’ve stopped talking to animals. Well, okay, not completely.
I live in the rain puddle of America called Portland. That’s in Oregon, the state that brought you such frightening wonders as the Ducks, the Beavers, and the Trail Blazers.
I love to read and write. These days, I’m also learning math.
I consider coffee shops and breakfast diners safe havens. It’s where I would go in the likely event of a nuclear fallout.
I hate David Spade and Chevy Chase.
I love appreciate hashbrowns periodically.
I believe Stephen King is a prophet, as are Dan Brown and Harlan Coben.
I still believe in no longer watch am watching “Heroes” again. Go Screw you Way to go, Tim Kring!
I aspire to be a professional “Before” model. You know, the one who would pose for the “Before Weight Loss,” “Before Plastic Surgery,” “Before Viagra” pictures– those kinds of things. Yeah, I would strike it rich with that gig.
I hated P.E. but loved to wear short shorts.
I think voyeurism is so underrated.
p.s. “Jon” is my nickname.

Portland, OR? I envy you. Lived there briefly from 1996-1998. I absolutely loved the place but my husband was tired of the rain.
Oh, Portland’s great; it’s why I moved back after being gone for 6 years. Yeah, the rain can get anybody down but who needs sunshine 24/7. C’mon! 🙂
hey man – thanks for visiting my blog. these random things about you cracked me up. who didn’t like wearing short shorts, right? and definitely agree on David Spade. peace dude.
i love hashbrowns, too. more than you. just kidding.
…and i hate david spade with the white hot intensity of 1000 suns. he just IRKS me.
or…you want to secretly be David Spade. I can see Spade wearing short shorts LOL.
God, I hate these psych majors. Always with the viable explanations… 😉
Oh, Portland, OR. VERY, very nice place. I love coffee houses… Thanks for visiting my blog. I am not on a rant, just merely doing some research. My partner loves Katie and well, I do too. I just miss the way she used to look. I am going to check out your blog now. 🙂
Hey Jon, just a shout out from Central Florida. I will visit Portland one day in the not to distant future. Food Network loves Portland. I like Food Network so see ya soon:-)
thanks for leaving kind words of wisdom on my blog. Funny, I keep trying to get away from oregon, but she just keeps finding me wherever I go, lol (i moved from Salem last year and now live in Austin, TX).
Currently reading: On Writing by Stephen King
i was surprised to see your comment on my blog – it came just minutes after i posted about the injustice on craigslist. really glad to know you’re in. please spread the word!
God Bless,
Dan
Hey Jon- Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Funny that you are from Portland – as I am from Seattle. Also, you are the only other person I know that has a Billy Bragg song on any of their playlists…
Aaron – How are you doing with helping to spread Spatred (tm Aaron Ivey)?
Goodbear – I had me some hashbrowns today. They were quite tasty.
trh – A rant a day keeps the hernia away.
Poinciana – Portland has an emerging food scene. I’m not surprised the Food Network loves us. 🙂
omystars – I’ll have to check out King’s “On Writing.” I’ve heard about it but just never got around to finding it.
danso – Still banning Craigslist.
drdrandrews – Billy Bragg rules!
you are incorrect about david spade (excellent HBO standup special a while back) and chevy chase (Fletch!). Aside from that you’re a winner in my book!
Cheers for reading my comic
Irregarding your comment on my blog, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, sir.
tizersoze – I’m glad I’m a winner in your book. 😉
woodmasterflash – Cheers!
How nice to be welcomed to the world of blogging by a stranger’s encouraging comment. Thanks for making the time. BTW, loved your tipping advice. If only everyone would be so thoughtful! ~Sunshine
Sunshine – Nice to have you around. 🙂
🙂
Hash browns, Stephen King, Dan Brown, and Harlan Coben… we have quite a bit in common there! And I loved my one visit to Portland. It didn’t rain hardly at all on that trip!
@ bibomedia – 🙂
@ saintpaulgrrl – How do you feel about brussel sprouts? I’m glad that it hardly rained during your Portland visit. 😉
“I aspire to be a professional “Before” model.”
You know what I find really sad about those before and after weight loss pictures? I actually aspire to look as good as the before pictures. 😦
“Before Viagra” pictures– I’ll pass on viewing those thank you very much. 🙂
@ Bryan – *snort*
Just shocked someone actually read one of my posts — especially shocked that a post about a recipe for fried rice being too salty could make you hungry — and having a look around. I’ll have to see what I have in the way of hash brown recipes now that you have me thinking of them.
@ ilovemyorangekitchen – Mmm, hashbrowns…
lol – you’re hilarious! glad I chanced upon your blog (through WP Pinoys)
@ J – Glad you found my blog. 🙂
Thanks for visiting my blog. And thanks for your refreshing sense of humor. I have long thought people could make it rich being a “Before” model.
peace,
james
@ james – Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Okay, I finally have the courage to ask. 🙂
The name of your blog is “Jon’s Other Blog”. So where can we find your original blog?
@ Bryan – Hehe. I was blogging on two servers for a while. I’ve since retired the original blog and am blogging here exclusively. I’ll give you detective points if you find my original blog. 😉
hey Jon…Mandy and me have another vid up on the MTTV site. we answered your question from the last video btw 😀
@ tam – Yes! I made it into an MTTV vlog! Yeah, baby!
Wow, I like your new header picture. Your surgery turned out very well. I have to say you are downright smokin’ hot now!
Thanks, Bryan! It’s amazing what $100,000 of disposable income can do. Oh, and by the way, bite me.
I’m making it a point to make a comment when I visit blogs I enjoy rather than lurk around quietly…. So here I am. hi.
Me likey. 🙂
You had me at hello.
I’m bookmarking you.
@ that girl – thanks for de-lurking! i’ll be paying you a visit too. break out the sofa bed…
Do I get detective points? I think I found your other blogs.

Hmm, I knew I should’ve deleted that other blog. Sigh. Jig’s up. For the record–I am no longer an American Idol fan. Thanks, Princess…

Hey Jon,
Thought I would take a quick look around!

never would have guessed it…I guess you just never know about people…(tsk tsk tsk)
🙂 @ bekki
Oh yeah. I bet Stephen King wrote the bible.
