The National Demographic Study of Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews in the United States, commissioned by JIMENA and directed by Dr. Mijal Bitton at NYU, represents the first large-scale research effort to document the experiences, identity frameworks, and community characteristics of Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewish Americans. The study was developed in partnership with Brandeis University’s Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies, with contributions from scholars across multiple universities.
We invite you to dive into the findings, reflect on their implications, and join us in shaping a Jewish future that honors and includes the full richness of Sephardic and Mizrahi life.
